SDEC's vet, Russ Peterson, rescued Pearl at his veterinary clinic. After determining the horse was healthy, Russ called SDEC to see if we wanted to adopt her. Pearl then came to us in July of 2016, and we like her so far!! She needs some consistent training, but she seems to be a willing partner and is learning her job quickly. We think she's a keeper.
