In Memory of Risky...
Risky was found for a client back in the early days af Spring Down, around 1984. He was a 4 year old Quarter Horse who was intended to be a cutting horse - but he didn't like cows! Spring Down trained him to be a Hunter, and when his owner outgrew him, Spring Down bought him back in 1988. Later, we found him a new special guardian - and when that person decided to give him up, Spring Down, again bought him back.
Since Carol believes everything that happens twice is a message, Spring Down kept him for the rest of his life - where he taught many, many kids as well as seniors how to ride and enjoy horses. He was a cherished member of our school horse Angels, and he will be sorely missed by all. However, we hope and believe he has gone on to greener pastures. |
