Topics we will cover:
Each Happy Horse day camp covers a range of topics that span over the sessions throughout the year. Such topics include reviewing proper tack up, properly putting boots and different kinds of wraps on a horse’s legs, longing, what our horses eat and supplements they eat, how to take care of the equipment and properly clean your saddle and bridle, bathing your horse to horse show preparation and riding in a show. Riding Instruction:
Riding for an hour and a quarter as well as watching jumping demonstrations with an advanced rider. If the kids are advanced enough, they can start to learn how to do small jumps themselves.

Lots of Horse Information:
We will watch a video on a “subject of the week” and they will take a quiz afterwards, answering as many questions as they can and then we will also go over the answers extensively as part of the lecture.

Prerequisites:
In order to be in the camp you must be able to independently stop, steer and start your horse and able to walk, trot, canter on the rail. This camp day is directed for riders that are advanced enough to start thinking about learning how to jump, not for the beginner rider.
