Riding Clinics with Nick Karazissis for all riding levels

Nick Karazissis is one of the most successful trainers on the West Coast. With his brother, Kost, and his sister-in-law, Jenny, the Karazissis family owns and operates Far West Farms in Calabasas, California. They have been at this location for over 30 years.

For the last 35 years, Far West Farms has been synonymous with quality, tradition, and blue ribbons. The Far West Farms Team is responsible for many “A” Pacific Coast Horse Show Association (PCHA) year-end championships and is always consistent in its yearly wins, and multiple placing in medal finals. For example, their most recent “star” Jamie Taylor, went on to win the PCHA 14 and Under Medal Finals in '99, and later went on to win the National Washington Medal Finals in 2001, and the Reserve Champion, ASPCA Medal Finals in 2002. In 2003, Nick coached the Champion and Reserve Champion PHA Finalists at the Cow Palace, while coaching the Third Place Finals winner for the Junior Competition.

Nick's consistent success in the show ring has made him one of the most sought after judges and clinicians in the United States. He has concentrated on Clinics the last 10 years, because “everyone is a winner in this venue”!

When Nick is not showing, judging or giving clinics, he is involved with all the major horse governing bodies on the West Coast, in addition to serving as elected member of the USEF Zone 10 Committee. He has also been President of the CPHA, and on the Board of the LAHSA and the PCHA, while serving on the Continuing Education and The Hunt Seat Equitation Committees. In 1992, he was elected Horseman of the Year, and still he continues to dedicate his energy to improving the welfare of all participants in the Horse Industry!
